Preschool Power Camp (Ages 3 - 4)- Fine motor readiness camp which emphasizes grasp development, eye hand coordination, scissors skills, left/right discrimination, stroke development and developmental fine motor readiness skills! In the Fall we have a print camp for this age.

Kids Beginning Print (For kids going into K or 1st) - Emphasizes grasp development, and letter formation within handwriting lines.  Teaches lower case print through the First Strokes curriculum and multi-sensory techniques.  Grasp and writing lab!  Excellent camp for beginning writers  or kids who need extra help

Sensory-Motor Print Camp (1 - 3 graders)) - Re-teaches print formation with the First Stroke concepts and letter groups, using cool, multi-sensory strategies.  Both standard print or “snail tails” style  handwriting are taught. This class is for students who have learned print, but have difficulty with sequencing letters, writing within handwriting spaces, or with letter formation.

Sensory-Motor Cursive I Camp - (2nd - 5th) LOWER CASE ONLY  Beginning or remedial cursive class using simple, easy to remember formation strategies for lower case letters. Class works on visual memory and increasing speed of writing while maintaining legibility.

WHAM Class - Writing, Handwriting and Math Legibility - (PRINT)

Work on print legibility techniques, cool writing projects on ruled notebook paper, generalization skills to notebook paper,

GRASP CAMP  Funky Grip?  FUN - fine motor challenges and art projects!  Students are taught how to hold a pencil correctly, then do fine motor exercises and art projects to work on the new grasp pattern. 

NUMBERS CAMP – For students who reverse numbers

MULTI-SENSORY KEYBOARDING CAMP -   Creative, multi-sensory keyboarding class using fun, creative techniques to learn home row keys, keyboard and fluency.  Students will even practice keyboarding skills in our motor gym! 

CREATIVE WRITING CAMPS- FUN writing camp for writing literacy, creativity, paragraph and report development. The students will be taught techniques for paragraph development and organization using creative techniques.

 

                        1. Cool! Creative Writing I - entering first grade

                        2. Cool! Creative Writing II - entering 2nd/3rd grade

                        3. Cool! Creative Wriitng III - entering into 3rd - 6th grade

 

ZANY WRITING/SCIENCE CAMPP - using assistive technology software or handwriting - parents choice.  1 hour of cool science activities, snack, then 15 minutes of paragraph organization, and 45 minutes of paragraph writing about the science topic - learn creative writing techniques.
