KIDDIE CAMP (5-6 YRS)
Camp Cimarron is a one week program located
at Bob Woodruff Park-South, that offers a wide
range of outdoor recreation activities for
children. The camp provides opportunities for
children to learn more about the natural
environment through nature hikes, and
environmental education activities. Children
will spend time fishing, doing craft projects,
playing games and enjoying cookouts. A late fee
of $5 for every 15 minutes will be charged to
parents when picking up a camper(s). Please
choose from the four available packages.
Package 1 includes camp only.
Package 2 includes camp and transportation to &
from Carpenter Park Rec. Center.
Package 3 includes camp, transportation to &
from Carpenter Park Rec. Center and after camp
care there until 6pm.
Package 4 includes camp and after camp care at
Williams Rec. Center until 6pm with
transportation there.

PLANO POSSE (11-12 YRS)

INDOOR DAY CAMPS
ACT
UP! DRAMA CAMP (5-12 YRS)
Campers will stage and perform a popular fairy
tale. All participants will have a speaking role and
will be introduced to lines, characterization,
projection, costumes, makeup, and more! A
performance for family and friends will be held at
3:30 on the final day of camp. An age appropriate
video will be shown at lunch and during an afternoon
break. Please bring a sack lunch and drink each day,
as well as morning and afternoon snacks/drinks.
AEROBATS
GYMNASTICS CAMP (BOYS 4-8 YRS)
Experience the sport that prepares you for all
other sports! Students will develop flexibility,
strength, and coordination as they learn gymnastics
skills on floor, vault, rings, high bar, parallel
bars and trampoline. Students will be grouped as
beginner or intermediate during the first class.
Crafts, games, contests and more will be included
each day.
AEROBATS

Experience the sport that prepares you for all
other sports! Students will develop flexibility,
strength, and coordination as they learn gymnastics
skills on vault, bars, beam, floor and trampoline.

ANIMATION CAMP (8-12 YRS)
Express creative skills by directing your own
short video utilizing clay characters. Explore the
world of clay animation by learning basic
techniques, building characters, taking pictures,
and combining them into an animated project. A late
fee of $5 for every 15 minutes will be charged to
parents when picking up camper(s).
HTML-DESIGNING
WEB PAGES (9-14 YRS)
A great beginner course for children interested
in web design! You will explore using graphics,
creating interactive sites, linking to other pages,
and setting up your website online. The class will
create using MS Front page (web creator) and Adobe
Premiere. Pre-requisite: Must be familiar with
Windows and the Internet. A late fee of $5 for every
15 minutes will be charged to parents when picking
up a camper/ or campers.
KID
KAPERS (5-6 YRS)
Kid Kapers is a two week program conveniently
located in area recreation centers. Participants are
placed into age appropriate groups ranging from 5-6
years and 7-10 years of age. Children will
participate in a variety of activities that include
craft projects, OUTDOOR games, stories, and more
that revolve around a central theme of the week. A
weekly newsletter with detailed information about
daily activities will be sent home at the beginning
of each week for parents to view and discuss with
their children. Please send a sack lunch and drink
for your child each day. Liberty participants will
have the opportunity to participate in the American
Red Cross Whales Tales program and other water games
utilizing the outdoor pool one day a week. All
campers will remain in the shallow end during pool
time. A late fee of $5 for every 15 minutes will be
charged to parents when picking up a camper(s).
KID

MAGIC
MUSIC CAMP (6-13)-NEW
From Beethoven to the Beatles, learn to rock to
the beat of a different drum! Magic Music is proud
to announce a five day music camp for kids 6-13 who
want to learn about different instruments, from
African drums and electric guitar to violin and the
flute. We invite you to come explore the different
sounds, rhythms and music types from all over the
world through hands-on activities, special musical
guests, student conducting, singing, games, and much
more!
MINDSTORMS
CAMP (8-12 YRS)
Design and program robots that can respond to
your commands. With the Robotics Invention System,
you can create anything from a light sensitive
intruder alarm to a robotic rover that can follow a
trail, move around obstacles, and duck into dark
corners. Prepare your robot for team challenges and
obstacle courses. This course is an introduction to
basic programming. A late fee of $5 for every 15
minutes will be charged to parents when picking up a
camper(s).
MODELING
CAMP (10-16 YRS)-NEW
Self-confidence, self-expression, poise &
etiquette are only the beginning. Our model child
graduates with a new sense of can-do that will last
throughout the teen years and well into adulthood.
Curriculum includes learning basic modeling,
etiquette, interview guidelines, stances, poses,
introductory runway techniques and more. Activities
will include a professional photo shoot and a fun
fashion show on August 12th. Each model will receive
a digital image from the photo shoot and a
professional talent evaluation. Camp standards
designed by European top model 'Isabella' with
instructions by talent consultant Jama Johnson and a
team of model industry professionals. This camp
conducted by DalParis. Each participant will have an
audition for the fall fashion show.

WONDERS CAMP (5-11 YRS)
Explore rocks and minerals! You will learn how to
read weather and understand hurricanes, tornadoes,
and thunderstorms. Venture into the animal kingdom
and learn how we are affected by the food chain and
the natural cycles that ensure all living things in
our ecosystem continue to function. You will get to
build a geodesic dome that is large enough to host a
Mad Science club house party and finally study the
force of wind and how this energy can be harnessed
to move heavy objects against gravity. A late fee of
$5 for every 15 minutes will be charged to parents
when picking up a camper(s).
SPORTS
SCIENCE CAMP (5-11 YRS)-NEW
Would you like to know why your toe is so
important when it comes to sports? Discover in a
tasty way how heat can be harnessed to accomplish
great feats and how an object under pressure can
soar to great heights. You will explore the
difference between carbohydrates, proteins, and fats
and how it can affect your daily energy levels.
Discover how machines are used in our everyday life
to enhance physical training for better sports
performance and much more. A late fee of $5 for
every 15 minutes will be charged to parents when
picking up a camper(s).
OUTDOOR DAY CAMPS
BRONCO
HORSEBACK RIDING CAMP (7-13 YRS)
Children ages 7-13 years are invited to sign up
for one-week session of Bronco Camp. Beginners
through advanced riders are eligible. All students
are divided into groups by ability level.
Transportation must be provided by a parent or
guardian. Camp is held rain or shine.
NATURE
CAMP (7-11 YRS)
Campers will have a great time enjoying the great
out-of-doors at Arbor Hills Nature Preserve. Stream
exploration, plant identification, and more will be
the focus of this educational camp. A late fee of $5
for every 15 minutes will be charged to parents when
picking up a camper(s).
TEEN CAMPS
FISHING
CAMP (10-15 YRS)
Each one-week Fishing Camp session is offered for
either beginner or intermediate anglers. Campers
will venture to area lakes to develop basic fishing
skills. A late fee of $5 for every 15 minutes will
be charged to parents when picking up a camper(s).
LEADERS
IN TRAINING (14-16 YRS)
Do you have any summer plans? Looking for
something to do? Get involved! Become a Leader In
Training assisting Recreation Leaders and staff with
a wide variety of jobs. The Plano Parks and
Recreation Dept. strongly believes in leadership
opportunities for young people. L.I.T.'s will gain
leadership and work experience skills in a positive
environment that enhances self-esteem. Parents and
students must attend an informational meeting on
Thursday, May 25, at the Plano Senior Center, from
8-9 pm. This meeting will determine location and
hours of work for all students. Information packets
will be available at this meeting. For more

MYSTERY
WEEK (12-15 YRS)
Campers will enjoy a mystery trip every day. A

SCRAMBLE
RAMBLE (12-15 YRS)
A week filled with an exciting variety of
activities such as a trips to water parks, bowling,
and many more fun adventures. A late fee of $5 for
every 15 minutes will be charged to parents when
picking up a camper(s).
SPORTS
CAMP (10-15 YRS)
Campers will have fun experiencing a variety of
sporting activities such as tennis, golf, swimming,
bowling, and more. Fee includes all equipment and
instruction. A late fee of $5 for every 15 minutes
will be charged to parents when picking up a
camper(s).
TEEN
LEADERSHIP SAILING CAMP (13-18 YRS)
Spend five days learning leadership principles,
team building skills, and learn to sail a 24-foot
keel boat. American Sailing Association certified
instructors will teach students how to follow orders
as a crew member, how to serve effectively in every
crew position for a racing sail boat, how to get
others to work with you, and how to draw everyone in
the problem solving task at hand. You will learn to
master maneuvering a boat under power and sail,
rules of the road, anchoring, docking, ASA 101
required knots, how to fly a spinnaker, and how to
safely handle a crew-over-board recovery. A written
exam will be given. Upon successful competition of
the American Sailing Association (ASA) Basic Keel
Boat course, students will receive an ASA Log Book
to be used to verify your skill and experience when
chartering boats. Campers will receive an ASA Basic
Keel Boat Certification if all requirements are
completed. Sailing Camp will be conducted at Lake
Lavon. Parks and Recreation Staff will not be
present.
WATER
WORKS (12-15 YRS)
A week filled with exciting activities that
center around water to keep cool in the Texas heat.
